Well, we had decided not to leave yesterday for Missouri. However, Jeff started to have second thoughts and was looking at plane tickets this morning. I called my good friend Sue and she offered us housing in Kansas City. Then we decided to leave for a road trip to Missouri that afternoon. It was quite an accomplishment to pack for a three day trip with a two week old. I packed the carseat, the rock n play, a huge tote bag with miscellaneous items pacifier, diapers, wipes, bibs, outfits, hand sanitizer, lotion plus a diaper bag and two parents bags. Ambrose slept for three hour stints and we would stop as soon as he got done feeding to refuel/bathroom/snacks. We made it to Tulsa Friday morning at 1 am and Ambrose again had been asleep the whole time we drove except for 30 minutes. So, Jeff and I were exhausted, but Ambrose was wide awake. We let him enjoy the king size bed for a few minutes before bedtime.
