Today Grandma Kathy came to pay Ambrose a visit in our home. She arrived around noon and Ambrose had just fell asleep. She was more than willing to watch him while I was able to take a shower. Lately,when Ambrose is awake he wants to be held constantly. As soon as he woke up Grandma was ready to jump into action. She made Ambrose a very happy baby and he made her a happy Grandma! They cuddled on the couch and then went on the back patio to enjoy the beautiful weather. I told her, "If you're getting tired of holding him, I can take him for a while." She replied, "I'm fine. Besides this is my next to last grandchild." (Jeff's brothers have completed their families which just leaves Jeff.) I thought that was a really sweet way for her to tell me she wanted to enjoy her grandson. Later, Mommy was able to slip out to Walgreens and Sonic for happy hour. I brought back Kathy a chocolate shake and cherry limeade for myself. She told me when I left to "take your time, there's no rush." It was wonderful to have a little me time. I was able to enjoy it even more as I had left Ambrose with someone I had 100% trust in.
