I was in recovery for two hours and then headed to mother/baby unit. I was on bedrest for 12 hours. At 1600 I was able to get out of bed and walk to the bathroom to wash up. I felt different when I tried to get up out of bed. I could feel a different kind of weakness as if my body was just sore. I also felt all the weight and fluid on my belly pulling on my incision. It sucked. (My foley catheter didn't come out until Monday morning.) I had a CBC scheduled for later that evening. My hemoglobin was 12 on admission on 3/24, 8.1 on 3/25 at 0800 and that evening was 5.6. I made a trip to CT to check for a hematoma and recieved two units of RBC's. (blood) My hemoglobin after two units was 7.9. I didn't realize how lousy I felt until I got the two units.

At birth Ambrose had a temperature. At 1500 today Ambrose was breathing too fast. He was taken to the NICU for blood cultures and a CBC. I was still on bedrest so Jeff had to make the journey with him. Here's Ambrose hand holding Daddy's after his blood draws.
I am so thankful that we're being watched so carefully. I have a baby and am very happy about that! Here's a video showcasing how good we're doing at the end of the day.
