MOPS & More

January 20, 2012

This week was busy at home.  I made it to Rebekah's baby shower, assembled Ambrose's new high chair, and went on date night.  I had my MOPS meeting this week and Ambrose was able to tag along.  Suzanne my group leader kept him entertained for a little while for me with her gorgeous smile!  Our guest speaker was Erin MacPherson and is a published author who spoke about rejuvenating friendships.  She had a couple of her books in the "preview" form (they contain the first 5 chapters) and I read the copy she gave me that night of her book.  I also met up for lunch this week with Beth who we've been trying to get together for months, but just so busy with our schedules!  I was really happy after my mops talk to get out and meet up with a coworker for lunch.  Plus, it didn't hurt it's part of my new year's goal.
Jeffrey and I dropped off Ambrose at Church daycare and headed off for date night.  We made it to third base and we talked about our thoughts for a future house.  There was a lot of conversation and I love that.  (What gal doesn't?)
At the end of the week our little family went into the backyard to disassemble the pool.  Ambrose was originally on a blanket in the yard, but wanted to be closer to us.  So, I set him on some concrete blocks and the little boy took the plunge onto the tarp covered in water.  He sat in the same spot and continued to watch us work on our project.  Afterwards, we made went to the font yard and got started on planting tulips.  Now in Missouri we always would plant them in September as soon we got them in the mail.  However, in Texas the climate is a lot warmer and so these bulbs were in my crisper with the full intention of going in the ground the week of the new year.  Alas, here we are getting the deed done three weeks late.  We shall see if we get any tulips at all.  I grabbed a quick before photo with my little supervisor ;)
