In celebration of the new year, my dear friend Sue made it to our home for a little rest and relaxation. Sue is currently in Nurse Anesthesia school in San Antonio. Sue and I used to be roommates in Missouri. She is a person that is doesn't matter how long since we've been apart we fall right back where we left off. It was also great to start off my New Year's resolution to meet up with one friend a week :)
The next week was spent sending cards to my twin siblings for their upcoming 26th Birthday. I also dropped a quick phone call to my friend Meghan who is expecting her second child in March. I also met up with Laura and Natalie for lunch to rejuvenate my Mommy spirit.
Ambrose had a playdate this week with Jayla. I was concerned if two car seats would fit in my car and it was a breeze! They watched Sesame Street, played with toys and Jayla helped make cookies to take back to her family including her new baby brother.
Ambrose was full of laughs this week and has been up all hours of the night. He is teething again and had a third tooth (top left) broke through this week. I also have been letting him sleep with me during his nap time in which he sleeps a lot longer. Plus, as a mom who works nights I can't complain at all that I get to sleep longer or even at all. Well, now when I have a day off it's payback. Oh well, it's great one on one time. This morning we worked on saying the word book. I'm trying to cut down on the amount of tv I watch around him. Well, when I said this is a book, say "Book." He repeats "Braaa" I was quite to see him trying to repeat it and this went on for two more minutes. We've all heard that a baby's brain soaks up learning like a sponge, but wow! He also discovered what he can do with the Toilet Paper roll. It's cute at first.
